According to the Ministry of Economy, the interest of international and local investors in the energy sector is growing. As the agency says, this is confirmed by the number of applications submitted within the framework of supporting energy projects. The Ministry is reviewing the proposals - 435 applications.

"The principle of supporting the price difference, which the Georgian government has proposed to support the energy sector, is attractive. This is reflected in the fact that the ministry has received 435 proposals through direct negotiations. The stated policy of the Georgian government that our country should be energy independent by 2030 is realistic and achievable.

It is important that at this stage, the identification of the received applications and the discussion of feasibility studies are underway", - says Jubo Turashvili, Head of the Energy Policy and Investment Projects Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
