Administration of the "Todua Clinic" has issued a statement regarding the fire that broke out near the station square.
"The health status of all patients at the clinic, as well as our medical personnel, is safe. Our medical team remains dedicated to addressing each patient`s needs. The influx of ambulatory patients has been temporarily suspended due to the extensive fire that swept through the railway station area, exacerbated by thick smoke.
All necessary procedures following safety protocols are currently being implemented. We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our inpatients. The Dighomi and Vere branches will provide emergency care to patients during this time", - reads the statement.
The Helsicore Multiprofile Medical Centre also responds to the fire.
"In response to the massive fire in the Railway Station area, appropriate safety measures have been implemented at our clinic. Patients have been safely transferred to various medical facilities across Tbilisi. The clinic will suspend all scheduled medical services on Wednesday [April, 30]. A fire erupted at the Borjomi Railway Station market area in Tbilisi in the early morning. Dozens of rescue personnel have been deployed to the scene to handle the aftermath. The fire broke out in a section of the market containing clothing, fruits, vegetables, and various storage facilities. According to the preliminary reports, it spread over an estimated 15,000 square meters.
