
The possibility of Thai AirAsia X to start regular flights to Georgia was discussed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili with representatives of the airline, who were on a working visit to Georgia.
The Deputy Minister introduced the current situation in country’s civil aviation sector, growing aviation statistics and future infrastructure projects to the representatives of Thai AirAsia X.
As she said, aviation policy of the Georgian Government is aimed at diversifying markets, as well as increasing flight frequencies and directions.
“Negotiations are underway with Thai AirAsia X to start regular flights to Georgia. We are actively working on diversifying markets and we believe that Thailand will be a new direction for our country, which will strengthen tourism and aviation”, - added Mariam Kvrivishvili.
