Six of the 14 personss detained in a separate case stemming from the investigation into the October 4 storming of the Presidential Palace will sign plea agreements.
In particular, plea bargains will be concluded with Giorgi Korkia, Lasha Ivanadze, Khvicha Gogokhia, Giorgi Rurua, Levan Jikia, and Sergo Megrelishvili.
The agreement has been reached with the prosecution.
The state is offering plea bargains that include a 3-year suspended sentence, meaning the individuals will be released from custody in the coming days.
Last week, another 15 individuals related to the violent events pleaded guilty and a plea bargain was concluded with them. The Prosecutor’s Office accuses the detainees of attempting to seize and block strategic and particularly important facilities, as well as group violence on October 4.
