The Minister of Sports of Georgia congratulated Eter Liparteliani on winning a historic gold medal at the ongoing World Championships in Hungary.

Shalva Gogoladze thanked the judoka for her successful performance and wished her victory in future tournaments.

Eter Liparteliani (-57 kg) became the first Georgian female judoka to win a gold medal among seniors.

At this stage, Georgia has three medals - Tato Grigalashvili (-81 kg) won silver, and Luka Maisuradze (-90 kg) won bronze.

Georgian judokas are at the World Championships with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Georgia.
