One of the main protagonists of Angolagate case, Arcadi Gaydamak was detained in France . His lawyer confirms the information.

Gaydamak was suspected in the trafficking of arms in 2000 in Angola. He was sentenced in absence three years in prison.

The lawyer said his client voluntarily arrived to the gandarmerie of Paris, where he was detained.

Arkady Gaydamak was a Chairman of the Director"s Council of Bdizina Ivanishvili"s bank- Rossiiskyi Credit.

Later Ivanishvili claimed that he had no information that Gaydamak was suspected of weapons smuggling.
