After two years of heading the government, the Prime Minister of Latvia has decided to leave the post.
Latvia’s government fell as Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma resigned because her party is losing popular support, foreign media is reporting.

Straujuma, announced her resignation on Monday, saying: “I see that new ideas are needed, new contributions and energy that can continue to build further on these foundations,” she said. “I have informed the president of the government’s resignation,” Straujuma told reporters.
