Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) demands efficient investigation into the case of Sakdrisi gold mines` blusting and focuses on involvement in the processes of the high-ranking officials
According to the GYLA"s position, the law has been violated several times in connection with gold mines. However, no one has been held accountable by this time
"Blusting of the cultural heritage is a crime envisaged by the Criminal Code and the investigation should have started on this subject. We have officially appealed to the prosecutor"s office, but so far it is not known whether any kind of actions has been performed or not.
"The theme that was discussed in the Ministry of Culture was in the competence od this institution and not in any other administrative authority` competence. Accordingly, any form of interference in this matter, means that the interest to the topic was very high, "- explained GYLA`s lawyer Sulkhan Saladze.
