The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, has deported 97 foreign citizens from Georgia as a result of the measures taken in recent days.
The deported persons are citizens of Turkey, China, Egypt, India, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Kenya, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Jordan, Russia, Somalia, Thailand and other countries.
As a result of intensive complex measures being taken across the country, the number of illegal immigrants expelled from Georgia has already exceeded 1,000, which, considering the statistical data of previous years, is an unprecedented result.
In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.
