As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities conducted by the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia throughout the country from May 1, 2026 to date, 61 facts of storage, transportation and sale of a large quantity of excisable goods subject to marking without excise stamps have been revealed.

During the same period, 83 individuals were brought to criminal liability, 38 of them have been detained.

As a result of the investigation, 63,852 packs of non-excise cigarettes and electronic cigarettes of various names intended for sale were seized from the persons exposed in the crime, the total market value of which amounts to GEL 387,864.
