Delegation from Switzerland visited the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia

Within the framework of the Migration Partnership between Switzerland and Georgia, Swiss delegation conducted an official visit to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The delegation was hosted by the Director of the Department, Guram Davitashvili, who delivered a comprehensive overview of the existing practices in the areas of asylum and migration management, as well as recent legislative and institutional changes implemented in the recent period.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the further deepening of the existing cooperation. Both sides expressed their readiness to continue intensive joint efforts aimed at enhancing migration governance and further improving the asylum system.

The visit constituted the 4th Experts Meeting within the framework of the Migration Partnership between Switzerland and Georgia, implemented within the framework of bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of migration.
