Police seized a particularly large amount of drugs - a foreign citizen detained

Officers of Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a Ukrainian citizen on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of drugs.

As a result of a search of the defendant’s personal search and search activities held in temporary residential apartment in Batumi, law enforcement officers seized an exceptionally large amount of the drug "Methadone" prepared for sale as evidence.

The police have also seized materials necessary for packaging drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
