Officers of Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a person who was previously convicted and is currently on probation for attempted premeditated murder of three persons, including family members, under aggravating circumstances.

The investigation established that the accused person, who was under the influence of alcohol, inflicted several wounds to his spouse, mother, and his wife`s friend with a cold steel.

All three wounded individuals were taken to the clinic for appropriate medical assistance. As a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the perpetrator of the crime was arrested. The police seized the weapon of crime - a knife - as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 11, Part 19-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
