Kyrgyzstan and Georgia have much that unites them, and there are numerous projects that the two sides can explore and, in time, potentially bring to fruition. Such a statement made today Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Commerce.
"The 2nd session of the Georgian-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held here in the Kyrgyz Republic. This is only the second such meeting following a 10-year hiatus; something that might well be regarded as a symbolic breakthrough in its own right. We have a great deal in common, and there is no shortage of projects that we can explore together and, with any luck, carry forward into reality.
Today, we signed a protocol outlining the key areas of cooperation that we must develop and actively advance. We place a high value on bilateral cooperation, especially given the significant transport and logistics potential that both countries currently hold.
We see tremendous opportunity to translate these shared advantages into tangible results, not least in the areas of the Middle Corridor and green energy. The range of fields for cooperation is, in truth, quite extensive", - said Bakyt Sydykov.
