The Standing Commission, established on the basis of the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative measures carried out at various times throughout the country, has destroyed up to 700 kilograms of narcotics seized from illegal circulation, the total value of which on the so-called black market exceeds 37 million GEL.

Employees of the Forensic – criminalistics Department destroyed a particularly large amount of various types of narcotic drugs in a special high-temperature furnace (incinerator) of contemporaty standards, including: heroin, cocaine, alpha-PVP, clephedrone, MDMA, buprenorphine, tramadol, diazepam, codeine, methadone and cannabis. Psychotropic and new psychoactive substances were also destroyed.

In accordance with the existing legislation, the process of drug destruction, which was carried out in accordance with modern environmental standards, was carried out in accordance with the current legislation, in the attendance of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, members of the Standing Commission, representatives of the Prosecutor General`s Office and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection.
