The Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia has charged 4 individuals with facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.
The investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that the defendants illegally purchased and stored a particularly large amount of narcotics for the purpose of facilitating their sale: 5 kg of "Mephedrone", 2 kg of "Alpha PVP", as well as 41 liters of "Alpha PVP" and 5 liters of "Mephedrone" in liquid form. As a result of the measures taken, the employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs seized the aforementioned narcotics. Also, items necessary for packaging narcotics were seized from the homes of all four defendants.
The detainees were charged under Article 260, Part 3, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount), and Article 260, Part 6, Subparagraph "a" (facilitation of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount), which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment as the form and extent of punishment.
Based on the prosecutor’s motion, the court sentenced the defendants to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
