The Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia has charged one person with premeditated murder.
An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on July 4, 2026, during a domestic conflict in Kutaisi, the accused stabbed the victim in the back with a knife with the intention of intentionally killing him, who died in a medical facility the same day.
Law enforcement officers arrested the accused on July 5. He was charged under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (intentional murder), which provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment as a form and measure of punishment.
Based on the prosecutor’s request, the defendant was sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
