The Batumi City Court fully accepted the evidence presented by the Prosecutor's Office and found one person guilty of the illegal purchase, storage and illegal sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.
The evidence examined during the trial confirmed that the defendant illegally purchased and stored the narcotic drug "Alpha-PVP" and a particularly large amount, 4,286 grams, of the narcotic drug "Methadone", which he illegally sold to one person in Batumi.
The accused was charged under Article 260, Part Three, Subparagraph “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount) and Article 260, Part Six, Subparagraph “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal sale of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount).
The Batumi City Court found the defendant fully guilty of the charges and sentenced him to 17 years in prison.
