A Georgian parliamentary delegation attended the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026). The forum is being held in Baku on 25–26 September, under the main theme: "Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability".

The forum addresses ways to enhance investment opportunities in the region, develop economic cooperation, and promote global connectivity. The event brings together international investors, representatives of government agencies, international financial institutions, and the business sector.

According to Nino Tsilosani, Vice Speaker of the Parliament and Head of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, particular attention was devoted to Georgia at the international investment forum. Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as the importance and potential of the "Middle Corridor" for the development of regional and global connectivity.

The delegation comprises Shota Berekashvili, Chair of the Economic Policy Committee; Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee and a member of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and Friendship Group members Anton Obolashvili, Savalan Mirzoev and Zaur Dargali.
