In just a few hours, the Prime Minister of Georgia will address the United Nations General Assembly, said the Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani stated in the United States.

"The first [theme of the address] is de-occupation, which remains the country’s paramount security challenge. It will be emphasised that de-occupation and the restoration of territorial integrity must be achieved strictly through peaceful means and diplomacy.

The importance of economic growth in this context will be underscored. The Prime Minister will highlight our economic growth, which has averaged 9.3% over the past five years - an unprecedented figure and the highest in the region.

The Prime Minister will speak about the strategic projects designed to strengthen our nation`s role as a regional connectivity hub. He will also address the crucial importance of international cooperation founded on mutual respect for sovereignty. This is particularly vital for a small nation like Georgia. Accordingly, he will stress that we stand ready to cooperate with absolutely everyone, provided such collaboration is built firmly upon this principle", - he added.
