Georgia is a very important player in the region, naturally, along with the countries of the region. We view this as a whole, as a region and the region’s potential in terms of connectivity. Maka Botchorishvili, Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said this in the interview with “Imedi LIVE”.
She emphasized Georgia’s strategic location, including the opportunities for connecting with international markets through the Black Sea.
According to Botchorishvili, Georgia’s maritime access is important not only for the South Caucasus but also for the states of Central Asia, which further elevates Georgia’s role in the development of regional transport and communication routes.
Foreign Minister also spoke about Georgia’s role in the context of the “Trump Road” project:
“Georgia is fulfilling this role; this is an important region in terms of connectivity, and no matter how it develops in the future, regardless of which countries these routes pass through, it is important and beneficial for Georgia in the context of regional cooperation”, - added Maka Botchorishvili.
