"GYLA" to appeal to European Court of Human Rights on behalf of "No to Panorama" rally participants

Young Lawyers" Association has appealed to o the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of 10 participants detained at f the rally "No to Panorama".

The issue concerns the rally held in front of the City Council.last summer According to protocols the detainees held banners with obscene slogans that they were loudly chanting which is petty hooliganism.

GYLA"s lawyer, Kate Shubashvili estimates, the demonstrators` right of assembly and expression was restricted , as according to her, the police could take away their posters only and not arrest them.
