66-year-old man dies of H1N1virus in Batumi

Another person died of the so-called H1N1swine flu virus. The doctor said that 66-year-old man was placed in the hospital on January 29, but the patient"s health condition was extremely complicated and they failed to save him.

This is the fifth case of death from the flu virus in Ajara. According to the latest data, 12 people diedof the flu across the country.

Experts say the trend is decreasing and the peake has passed. They are urging the population and especially people from risk groups to seek medical attentions with the first symptoms of the flu virus.

Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze said that the death was the result of belated medical assistance.
