Giorgi Gaprindashvili, a whose candidacy was named on the position of the University Chancellor made a special statement a few minutes ago. According to him, he is going to step back. Currently he is at the University where a special briefing was held.

" I would like to apologize, I retreat, But I am doing it only because of the University"s interests. I will be always by the side of University alongside with those people, who are now with me,"-said Giorgi Gaprindashvili.
