Parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition attends the trial of Rustavi2.

Politicians say that both the previous and the current trials are  politically motivated, therefore,  the government wants to suppress freedom of  speech before the elections.

"I hope the judges  will not undertake  demise of  free speech in the country, burial of Georgia"s  European future  and the legitimacy of elections. Hope that this panel of judges  will not decide to  become female Urtmelidzes, because Urtmelidze is not a surname any more it has became an adjective,"- said Irma Nadirashvili, a member of United national Movement.

Free  Democrats also attend the sitting.

" Attempts of  appropriation of the broadcasting company from the government of from opposition are  unacceptable t,"- said Alexi Petriashvili.
