The losses caused by hail in Kakheti will begin from the morning today. The heavy hail damaged five villages in Sagarejo municipality and 4 villages in Gurjaani. The situation is particularly difficult in the village of Chalaubani where as locals say 150 hectares of vineyards were damaged.

In the villages of Darchieti and Naniani, the disaster destroyed strawberry and vegetable crops. The residents are asking for help from the government to save the vineyards.
