Preparations for the Independence Day - the central streets of the capital have been blocked.

As reported by Georgia’s Interior Ministry, traffic has been restricted in relation to Independence Day events in Tbilisi.

As reported by the ministry, traffic has been banned at Liberty Square, Rustaveli Avenue and Roses Square since 00:30, May 25. Traffic will also be restricted on every street crossing Rustaveli Avenue.

According to the ministry drivers will be able to move via bypass road – Tabukashvili and Chonkadze streets. Traffic will be restored at 12:00 on May 27.

The central events on May 26 will be held on Freedom Square, Roses`square and Rustaveli avenue.
