The Court of Appeal has issued a statement regarding Rustavi 2 broadcasting company. They responded to Rustavi 2 Director General Nika Gvaramia`s yesterday`s statement.

The court explained that according to the Code of Civil Procedure, paragraph 257 part 2 the court is obliged to preprare an informed decision document in 14 days and transfer it to the parties The Court of Appeal Panel fulfilled the obligation within 12 days, thus fully adhered to the requirement of the law.

It is said that in this case the court acted within its discretion, in full compliance with the legislation andany statement that the Court of Appeal Panel went beyund the legal framework is not in line with reality and is aimed at discrediting the court and misleading the public.
