The contest for the position of judges is being held at the High Council of Justice. A few minutes ago it was reported that Rustavi-2 trial judge, Tamaz Urtmelidze, was not chosen to the position of a judge by the Supreme Council of Justice.

Out of 10 vacant seats Urtmelidzdeserved none .

Tamaz Urtmelidze`s term as a judge expired on May 16.

Judge Tamaz Urtmelidze was a judge for a number of noisy cases. The biggest response received the decision on Rustavi2 case , where the judges attempt to interfere into editorial policy of the channel was evident. By Urtmelidze`s decision, Rustavi2`s property is fully seized
