73th Venice Film Festival has opened. The opening ceremony  was held at t   Palazzo del Cinema .

Damien Chazelle"s "La La Land", a musical comedy-drama has opened the Film Festival. The movie, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, tells the story of a struggling jazz pianist, Sebastian, who falls in move with Mia, an aspiring actress in modern day Los Angeles.

20 movies are competing for Golden Lion this year.

 Golden Lion that will be awarded on September 10.
