A powerful explosion took place in Tbilisi a few minutes ago. The blast occurred in Vasizubani, in a house. Reportedly an elderly man was in the building, who died at the scene.

A fire truck, rescue teams and divisions of the Interior Ministry have been mobilized at the scene, However they could not save the men.

Investigation is underway. Potential cause of the explosion is gas leakage.
