The Public Memorial Service is underway at the Saint Trinity Church. The Civilians commemorate Father ilia, who died as a result of fire on the " Norman Atlantic."

The Mayor of Tbilisi and the Minister of Finances attended the service, The President of Georgia has given late Archimandrite Ilia Kartozia a posthumous award for his exemplary civil devotion, heroism and extraordinary personal bravery.

Father Ilia will be buried in the yard of David Agmashenebeli Church.
