The Prime Minister of Georgia attended civil funeral of Father ilia at the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Irakli Garibashvili expresed condolences to the family of the priest . "I would like to express my condolences to the family, relatives, the Parish of father ilia. Father Ilia showed us exemplary heroism . It is really valuable. Our duty is to honor his memory, "- the Prime Minister said.

father Ilia will be buried in the monastery of David the builder. 27-year-old archbishop Ilia Kartozia died in December 28 , in the fire in the Adriatic Sea.
