The coordinator of the "National Movement" and his family were physically assaulted in Akhaltsikhe. Beglar Kapanadze said that he was return from farming works with family members on the day of the incident.
The victim said that he and his family were blocked by cars. According to him, he was forced to leave the car, after which he was verbally insulted, which turned into physical confrontation.
Kapanadze`s family members have multiple injuries. According to them, the assailants beat them up with a blunt weapon.
The victims talk about the political motives of the incident. According to Kapanadze, the attackers are representatives of the local government, including Zaza Geladze, who was the deputy mayor and is currently working in the Majoritarian MP`s Bureau.
Zaza Geladze did not want to comment on the incident.
The investigation was launched under Article 126, which implies violence. It is not clear whether the people named by the victims have been questioned.
