A joint statement by NGOs has responded to the comments of former PM Bidzina Ivanishvili.. The statement underline that Ivanishvili`s statement puts pressure on the civil sector. NGO members claim that Ivanishvilil is still governing the country and that his remarks may cause active measures against NGOs.

The statement is a response to Ivanishvili"s remarks to "TV Imedi" that the activities of some NGOs should be examined. Executive Director of the Civil Development Agency (CIDA) Zviad Devdariani has confirmed that the statement with be released sometime soon.
