"Georgian Dream" initiates a tightening of the articles of the Criminal Code.

The authors of the initiative say that pardoning a convict in exchange for concrete benefits will be considered as impeding the judiciary.

Roman Gotsiridze notes that such actions threaten the current president.

"They want to overwhelm the shameful trial that takes place against President Saakashvili today. Besides this is a direct threat to the acting president, "said Roman Gotsiridze.
