Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili made a statement about the problems and challenges in regard to visa liberalization.

The Prime Minister discussed the problems at the sitting of the government today, where he introduced new regulations in regard to changing the surname.

According to the Prime Minister"s assessment, the procedure to change the surname will be one of the components of the complex plan which aims at preventing the risk of suspending a visa-free regime.

According to the head of the government, citizens enter the EU countries for several times as a result of the change of surname, which is a crime.

"We complicate this procedure. This is agreed with the EU and member states and we hope that our fellow citizens will understand it. Of course, we have to do our best in order to prevent the risk of suspending the visa-free regime and this is not the only step in this direction, "Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikshvili said at today"s government session.
