The bill on gender quotas received the votes of the National Movement. The voting session has been held recently, but the draft law failed at the first hearing.

"There is a difference of opinion about quotas in our party too. This is quite a painful issue, but I think that there is no other way for increasin the number of women in the representative body for achieving results in short term perspective, "said Salome Samadashvili, a member of the National Movement.
