Remains unknown which Russian diplomat out of ten Russian diplomats who currently work in Georgia will be expelled.

The Russian Foreign Ministry says that Georgia"s note concerns technical staff of the Russian interest section.

The Russian diplomat should leave Georgia within seven days.

Georgian Prime Minister"s Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze avoided commenting the issue today. Zurab Abashidze did not answer the question whether the expulsion is belated.

Zurab Abashidze also did not answer the question if the Russian authorities are aware of the case.

Zurab Abashidze said in a telephone conversation with Rustavi 2 this morning, that the Georgian side is waiting for Russia"s response.
