The President will deliver his speech on the background of heated debates on may 2. The Parliamentary majority calls him for debates.

Gia Volski, the Vice-Speaker of the parliament states that this is the last report of Giorgi Margvelashvili till the elections of the new President and MPs and the society need answers to the existing questions.

"Considering this is the last report I think is a political debate," said Gia Volski, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament.

The Chairperson of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules states that the meeting after the President"s report will continue with debates between the MPs and the President.

The parliamentary majority claims that the parliamentary opposition has not asked for debates with the president yet, which is surprising because they have always been initiators of the debates.

"We have taken the decision to hold political debates after the President"s speech. This is a format that gives more opportunity to political groups to express their opinion, "said Giorgi Kakhiani, the Chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules.
