The third president of Georgia accuses the National Statistics Office of falsification of the data. According to Mikheil Saakashvili, the Ministry has distorted the census and migration indicators purpesfully.

According to Saakashvili, Geostat fulfills the political order of "Georgian Dream", manipulates figures and hides real information about the population census.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, after the Rose Revolution in 2004-2005, the number of population significantly increased. Since then, negative dynamics was observed in 2007, but in 2009-10-11 the number of population increased again.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, after the Georgian Dream coalition came to power, the fixed number of people was less by 700,000 and the ruling party tried to hide the information in which Geostat was helping.
