"It is a great honor and a great pleasure for me to celebrate 100 years anniversary of Georgia"s independence," Andrei Kiska, the President of the Slovak Republic, said in his speech at the Economic Forum.
"Of course, when we face problems, we appeal to our families and when we celebrate, of course, we celebrate together with our families. It is always pleasant to be in such a friendly atmosphere. We are one European family and I am sure I can say on behalf of President Duda that in the EU we will be not only one Europe, but we will be together with Georgia in one European family - the EU," Andrej Kiska said.
According to Andrei Kiska, peoples of Slovakia and Georgia are similar to each other, as in Slovakia there are almost 5 million people and there are a litlle bit fewer in Georgia.
The President of Slovakia also spoke about the Russian propaganda in his speech.
"The EU is a fantastic project. Overall, it includes 500 million people and has a strong economy. It is great to talk about challenges and achievements with friends. We have our challenges in the EU. There is a strong propaganda from a number of countries that do not want to see us united and do not want Georgia to join the EU. Reports were spread in connection with Brexit that 126 million left the EU. This was a propaganda from Russia. It is not easy to deal with propaganda," the President of Slovakia said and added that "Georgia has an aggressive neighbor, but it is coping with challenge”.
