I am sure Kaczynski would look at us with great satisfaction and would celebrate this big anniversary of Georgia, - Polish President Andrzej Duda said in his speech at the Krynica Economic Forum.
"It"s a great honor for me to be here on this important day and to celebrate the 100th of independence. My predecessor, President Lech Kaczynski supported Georgia and its unity, which was a very important element of the European security. President Kaczynski believed that security and independence of Georgia was a necessary precondition for independent and peaceful Europe and secure world. As you know, President Kaczynski died in Russia in 2010, but when I look at the attendees of this forum and the meetings to be held today, I am sure Kaczynski would look at us with great satisfaction and would celebrate this big anniversary of Georgia"- said Duda.
According to him, Georgia is an important partner of Poland in the South Caucasus. He talked about the economic relations between Georgia and Poland and expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would further develop.
"I am convinced that in the next few years we will be able to achieve more. Our exports are quite competitive, our products are of high quality like those of other western countries. We are convinced that the development of the energy sector through the involvement of Polish departments will be more possible in Georgia. There are also proposals related to green technologies, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency as well as waste management. We can also work on infrastructure development. We can support development of a transport corridor that will connect Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and other European countries, as well as to participate in the construction of the Silk Road. We are also pleased that the number of Polish tourists is increasing in Georgia", - said Andrzej Duda.
