The newly elected Prime Minister of Armenia holds the first official visit to Georgia. Nikol Pashinyan visited Tbilisi today. His Georgian colleague hosted the guest.
Before the face-to-face meeting the Prime Ministers spoke about the relations of the two countries. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the stability and development of Armenia is important for Georgia.
"The Armenian people demonstrated their commitment to unity and democratic principles, which resulted in a peaceful change of power," Kvirikashvili said.
According to Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian president"s participation in the events on May 26 celebrations is a proof that Armenia wants Georgia to be a strong country.
"It is symbolic and it is not accidental that my first official visit was held in Georgia. This expresses not only my people"s but my personal attitude towards the Georgian people and country, "Pashinyan said.
Following a face-to-face meeting with the participation of members of the two countries, the negotiated format will be held.
