A person who will facilitate illegal migration of a citizen of Georgia to a foreign country may be subject to criminal liability.

The amendments to the Criminal Code will be discussed at the sitting of the Legal Committee and it they include the actions that are punishable. Sanctions are also defined.

"In order to avoid threat to the visa free movement and protect this kind of public good, there is a proposed change that protects the citizens from any illegal activity," said Eka Beselia, the chairwoman of the legal committee.
