The second day of transport collapse in Tbilisi - the Metro continues to be on strike. Several hours of negotiations between Kakhi Kaladze and engine drivers ended in vain.
The decision of the mayor of Tbilisi was unacceptable to Metro employees, who promised to raise their salaries only from 2019.
Kakhi Kaladze says that at this stage there is not enough money in the budget.
"We explained the real situation, we talked about financial situation both in the company as well as in the city hall, they also told us about the problems that they are experiencing. These people have a hope and hope that in the nearest future will be reconciliation and I hope that the subway will be opened soon , "- states the mayor of the capital.
The announcement of Tbilisi mayor was followed by irritation of some of the protesters who left the meeting in protest. Strike staff are demanding 10 GEL per hour for work. Today they are paid 8 lari and 65 tetri.
