Tea Tsulukiani addresses to MPs at the joint sitting of the Committee of Legal Issues, Defense and Security, Human Rights and Civil Integration. The Acting Minister of Justice talked about the process of selection of the Chief Prosecutor. According to Tsulukiani, it is important to focus on female candidates in addition to men, in order to have a balanced list.
"I would like to remind everyone from this podium, academic circles, non-governmental organizations, opponents, supporters and everyone that the term of public consultations in relation to the selection of the new Chief Prosecutor expires on 4th of July. Tea Tsulukiani has expressed her support to the prosecutors. She has focused on the Special Department, which was formed in the Prosecutor"s Office in 2015. According to her, the property of 45 million taken away during the previous government was returned.
