The parliamentary minority responded to the research of the NGO "Transparency International Georgia", according to which the ruling team spent 160 million GEL in 5 years on PR.
According to the assessment of "European Georgia", the amount spent for the PR government is quite large.
According to them, due to the social situation created in the country, it isunacceptable that the government is spending tens of millions on advertising.
"Unfortunately, the Georgian Dream coalition government has failed to address fundamental problems or improve the situation, such as poverty in society, unemployment problem, economic problems or crime in the past five years. In parallel to this, when it becomes clear that the government spends up to 160 million lari in five years to inform the public about the measures taken by it, this is somewhat cynicism towards society. It is especially interesting that most of the money spent on the so-called PR is used for salaries of employees, "said Irakli Abesadze.
