Shalva Tadumadze nominated as Chief Prosecutor

The Prosecutor Council nominates Shalva Tadumadze"s candidacy for approval for the post of a Chief Prosecutor. Twelve members of the council have supported him. His rival - Nino Gogniashvili was not supported by any of the candidates. Shalva Shavulidze, the candidate of " European Georgia" withdrew his candidacy this morning.

The meeting of the Prosecutor Council ended a few minutes ago. According to the procedure, Shalva Tadumadze"s candidacy must first be approved by the government and then by the Parliament.
