Non-governmental organizations are waiting for Shalva Tadumadze"s speech at the Parliament. The civil sector is interested in how the main prosecutor"s office plans to manage the agency.
Another question of non-governmental organizations is how independent a man with a close relationship with the ruling team will be in taking decisions.
The civil sector is suspicious that Shalva Tadumadze, who has been nominated for the position of Chief Prosecutor, will have difficulty in maintaining independence.
"The government supported him very rapidly, and his candidacy was very quickly send to the parliament. It seems to be a pre-agreed process. It is interesting, what questions will there be asked in the process of listening and what will be the answers. Whoever the chief prosecutor should be today, the challenges that existed with the prosecutor"s office still remain in force, "said Sulkhan Saladze, chairman of the Georgian Young Lawyers" Association.
